A History of Success
Santa Barbara Business College is one of the oldest private schools in California and the country. The college was founded in 1888 as a California business college and teacher training institute. The primary curriculum focus throughout SBBC's long history has been business.
Over the years, curriculum offerings have expanded to include programs in Healthcare, Paralegal Studies, and Criminal Justice in addition to the traditional Business Administration program.
SBBC offers associate degrees to enrich the learning experience and increase lifelong earning potential. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, individuals who have earned an associate degree will earn on average 30 percent more than those individuals with only a high school diploma or GED.
With very close ties with employers and the business community, we're able to change quickly -- adding new programs and enhancing our existing programs -- to meet employer demand. Such flexibility and market awareness have always been hallmarks of this California college's rich history and success.
